Nirmala (Nims) Sharma brings over 25 years of experience in logistics coordination, program management, and office management including over ten years of USAID and IRG experience. She has extensive background in staff supervision and office management as well as organizing and administering training programs.As a former Office Manager and Logistics & Training Coordinator of the USAID-funded SARI/E Program implemented by the Academy of Educational Development (AED), Nims organized and managed training programs in the South Asian countries comprising Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
She managed AED’s regional sub-offices and country managers and closely worked with USAID country coordinators of the SARI/E region.. She managed all travel logistics and accommodation, including legal documentation of personnel and country background information, as well as training program material. For IRG’s India office, Nims was responsible for organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops for local and international personnel and managing all travel logistics and legal documentation. She has an extensive knowledge in India’s country profile and proven expertise in communicating effectively with local and international staff, local ministries, and USAID representatives.
She has a Masters in Political Science from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and credits in History of Art and French. She has traveled extensively and benefited hugely from the exposure to different cultures and peoples.
