Tulsyan, Ankur

USAID ECO-III Project

Ankur Tulsyan worked as a Research Assistant at USAID ECO- III Project for a period of seven months from January to July, 2010. At present he is in final year of his Bachelor of Architecture Degree at Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. Before joining ECO- III Ankur has carried out research projects with various premier organizations of the country such as Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore; Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee and Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) in the field of Energy Efficiency in Buildings.

Works carried out by him at these institutes include Thermal Comfort study of Residential Buildings, Embodied Energy Calculation and Optimization using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Application of Precast Concrete Elements for a Low Energy Design. Ankur has also been involved in research projects at Centre for Energy and Environment in his own institute where he has worked on Quantifying Reductions in Carbon Emissions by the Application of Energy Efficient Technologies and Renewable Energy Sources Deployment within the Campus.

At USAID ECO- III Project Ankur was actively involved in the research work for the preparation of various Presentations, Technical Papers and Publications. He provided Design Assistance to West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency (WBREDA) for REEC Building at Kolkata. He was also a part of the Conducting team in one of the Building Physics and Energy Simulation Workshop at IIT Roorkee.
